Coach Dan

Coach Dan Speaks:

Vertical leaps are essential basketball skills as they involve explosive movements and reactive strength. Kneeling jumps are an ideal training technique to help you gain height in your basketball vertical leap. Start by finding yourself a suitable yoga mat, if necessary, and then get into the low position with your knees firmly on the ground. Swing back and then use this momentum to jump forward, pushing your hands off the ground and getting as high up in the air as possible. Once you master these kneeling jumps, you will begin to notice an improvement in your basketball vertical leap.
