Coach Dan

Coach Dan Speaks:

Basketball players of all skill levels can challenge themselves with the basketball drill known as free throw golf. The goal is to get to exactly −21 by shooting basketballs from the free throw line. When playing by yourself or with a partner, two shots are taken each time; if it’s a swish, it’s −3 off your score, if the ball touches the rim it’s a −2, and if it touches the backboard it’s a −1. If you don’t make the shot, that adds +1 to your score. This drill is great for both building basketball shooting precision and gaining mental focus during gameplay.
