Coach Dan

Coach Dan Speaks:

Start your basketball drill by positioning yourself under the basket, with your basketball and facing the baseline. On the right side of the basket, dribble in for a layup with your left hand off the backboard, jumping off your left leg; then switch to the left side of the basket and make a layup with your right hand, using the backboard and jumping off your right leg. Keep alternating sides until you finish 10 mikan vations facing The Baseline. As you advance in basketball skills and get more comfortable, practice finishing from different spots on the backboard while experimenting with more spin on each basketball dribble. Be sure to use as much height as possible when jumping up toward each basket so you can maximize the success rate of each attempt.
