Level Up Basketball
For basketball players who are looking to develop their dribbling skills, the piston drill is a great way to practice both ball control and agility. The goal of this exercise is to get in the triple threat basketball position while simultaneously dribbling two basketballs waist-high — alternating sides with each ball just like the pistons in an engine. Rather than staying stationary while doing this drill, it is also possible to perform the piston drill while moving up and down the court. This provides a new challenge as players must both maintain their accuracy as well as work on their speed and agility. In either case, basketball players can benefit greatly from employing the piston drill into their regular workout routine.
