Coach Dan

Coach Dan Speaks:

Basketball shooting practice doesn’t necessarily have to be limited to shooting around on the court. Find a wall and stand 5 to 10 feet away, getting into a square position. One drill that is often used to improve basketball accuracy involves pushing the basketball over your head with your opposite hand, like you would with a baseball pass or an overhead one handed passing drill. The idea is to hit the same spot at your eye level as often as possible, in order to improve accuracy and familiarity when shooting during a game situation.
